Over the weekend of 19th and 20th July 2008 gardens in the village of Rosliston will be open to the public during the hours of 11.00am and 6.00pm each day.
Entry is £3.00 per person which includes free car parking.
There are craft and plant stalls with refreshments in the village hall and one of the gardens.
Includes entry into local photographic exhibition and entertainment each afternoon by Fiddle Folk
Proceeds to Local Causes including Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.
Rosliston Village is situated in the heart of The national Forest 4 miles south east of Burton upon Trent and can easily be found from the A38 or M42.
Programmes will be on sale at the Open gardens car park which will be well sign posted when entering the village. Please use this car park as it is next to the first two gardens that are open.
For those people on foot programmes will also be on sale in The Village Hall.
Rosliston Village does have two public Houses who will both be serving meals through out the weekend.

Whilst visiting Rosliston why not make time while you are there to visit either "The Beehive", "Rosliston Forestry Centre" or "Chapmans Nurseries". The later giving a 10% discount on all purchases over the Open Gardens Weekend on production of an Open Gardens programme.
Update - There are at the moment thirteen different stalls that are selling hand made soaps, Fudge, Garden Art, Garden bird care, Cards, Gifts, A Second Hand book stall with a very extensive selection, others and of course a number of plant stalls.
How to get to Rosliston Village
From the A38
Whether comming from the north ( Derby ) or from the south ( Lichfield ) or travelling from elsewhere like Wolverhampton, Stafford or Stoke on Trent find your way onto the A38 between Lichfield and Burton upon Trent and then leave the A38 at the junction for Barton under Needwood and Walton on Trent and follow the signs for Walton on Trent. At the junction in the village with the White Swan public house in front of you turn left then immediately right after approx 500 metres follow this road sweeping to the left and drive for approx one and a half miles ( from Walton on trent Rosliston should be sign posted ). When you reach the end of this road turn right at the T junction into Rosliston Village and follow the P ( parking ) signs through the village.
From the M42/A42
If travelling north from Tamworth or beyond leave the M42/A42 at junction 11 ( Measham ) and take the A444 to Burton upon Trent, after passing through Overseal you will come to a traffic island, turn left at this island and head for Linton. Follow this road through Linton for approx 1 mile until you come to a T junction, turn left at this junction and again after approx 1 mile this road will take you into Rosliston Village, then follow the P ( parking ) signs which will take you to the car park.
From the A511
If travelling from the Leicester area on the A511 you can either slip onto the A42 at junction 13 ( A42 ) and head south to junction 11 and then follow the route as detailed previous under M42/A42 or otherwise continue along the A511 until you get to the Clock Garage island at Woodville.Take the second exit from the island which is the A514 to Swadlincote. continue along this road going straight on at the taffic lights at Morrisons and then straight on at the island immediately after. At the next island take the third exit sainsbury's should now be on your left, keep going and turn left at the next island and then right at the next island.At the next island go straight over ( you are now crossing the A444 ) then drive for approx 1 mile until you come to a croos roads. Turn left and this road will Take you into Rosliston Village. Follow the P ( parking ) signs through the village to the car park.
From A42
Travelling from the Nottingham area take the A42 either straight on to junction 11 and follow the directions as detailed under M42/A42 or leave at junction 13 and follow the direction as under A511.
